Could This Really Happen?

I have been listening to a downloaded audio of The Jefferson Key, by Steve Berry, a  compelling and  delightfully preposterous  political thriller involving a secret organization, encoded messages from the past, murder,  and, of course, power.

Here are a few other titles in the “political conspiracies” genre:  high-powered people,  corrupt politicians, secret agencies, skilled assassins,  over-the-top action, and unbelievable   plots (or are they?)

Bloodmoney, by David Ignatius

The Fifth Assassin, by Brad Meltzer

The Hit, by David Baldacci

The Jefferson Key, by Steve Berry

Political Suicide, by Michael Palmer

The Tehran Initiative, by Joel C. Rosenberg

Vanished, by Joseph Finder

Other titles by these authors could also be classified as “political thrillers.”
