The 40th anniversary party at the Corte Madera Library last week was enjoyed by all.  At the Open House on Thursday, December 1, there was music, light refreshments, and a presentation on the history of the library by Laurie Thompson from the Anne T. Kent California Room.   Check out our Flickr pictures

Saturday's performance by the A Capella group 'Til Dawn was fun for the whole family.  Anyone who missed the open house will still be able to view the collect1952 Commercial Map of Corte maderaion of photos from over the years, as well as a timeline of the library's history, on display in the library.  Also of interest is an historical "commercial"  map of Corte Madera from 1952, which can be viewed at the library.

To accompany our 40th anniversary, we've also created a display "40 Years of Good Reading" that showcases the best of both fiction and non-fiction selections over the years.  Browse the fiction booklists;  browse the nonfiction booklists.
