November is Native Salamander artAmerican Heritage month.  The Corte Madera Library is displaying books celebrating the many Native American cultures.  Displayed are books of fiction by authors such as Sherman Alexie, Tony Hillerman, and Louise Erdrich.  Nonfiction books on display include subjects covering history, arts, and culture.

By searching the online MARINet catalog it is possible to see the holdings of all the public libraries in Marin.  Subjects to search include:  Indians of North America, Indian art -- North America, and individual tribes such as Ohlone, Navajo, Apache, and Cherokee.
