The 2012 season of the San Francisco Ballet begins January 27th with Onegin, a three-act story ballet based on Aleksandr Sergeevich Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin: a novel in verse.  This novel is also the basis for an opera with music by Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky.  To read the book or listen to the music, search for the title Eugene Onegin in the library catalog.

To enjoy ballet on dvd, you can either search for an individual title, like Giselle, or search for all films of ballets or about ballet.  Similarly, the music for specific ballets can be found by searching for the title of the ballet in the library catalog. To get a more complete search for ballet music, try this ballet link.  For books, a subject search for ballet will yield many options.
