HaLittle Brother book jacketve you read Cory Doctorow’s sci-fi book Little Brother?

In the book, 17-year-old techno-geek Marcus skips school one day and gets swept up near the site of a terrorist attack in San Francisco.  The Department of Homeland Security questions him for 6 days and, upon his release, he finds the city is now a virtual police state where hundreds of citizens have disappeared. Marcus vows to get the DHS out of the city and mounts a grass-roots resistance using his cyber skills.

The book has been adapted into a play, bringing to life the themes of the erosion of civil liberties, the growth of surveillance, and leaderless online resistance. The play has extended its run through February 25 at the Custom Made Theatre Company in San Francisco. Click on the link to find out details about the play and to read a recent review from the San Francisco Chronicle.
