Point Reyes library patron, friend, and poet Julia Bartlett gave us a Valentine's Day poem entitled Darling Library

If I were a giant

I'd hug my arms around the library

pick it up

hold it against my cheek

and tell it I love it.

Then set it down gently

and pat it once or twice,

being careful not to topple

or in the least way disturb

the shelves of sale books

stacked outside the front door.
