In March, the South Novato Library will have extended hours and extra programs! Why? A new look and services are coming to the Novato Library. To prepare for the changes, the Novato Library will be closed starting March 7th for renovations and is scheduled to reopen the first week of April.

In an effort to meet the demand for library services, from March 11 – 30 the South Novato Library hours will be:

10-9       Monday – Thursday
12-5       Friday
10-5       Saturday

All Novato Library programs have been cancelled or rescheduled to the South Novato Library.   Please check the library’s website and calendar for latest information.

The Novato Library will not be accepting returns during the closure.  Library materials checked out prior to the closure will be given extended due dates.  Materials can always be returned to another library, anywhere in Marin County.  All materials placed on hold at Novato will automatically be available for pickup at the South Novato Library during the closure, unless another branch is specified.

During the closure period the Novato and South Novato Libraries will not be able to accept book donations.   Donations can instead be dropped off at the Friends of the Marin County’s Book Place located at 1608 Grant Ave in Novato. This is a great opportunity to check out one of Marin's best places to shop for books!

This renovation is made possible with funds from Measure A and was planned to respond to community needs.   High demand materials will be easier to access, there will be a single convenient information desk, more convenient and efficient check-out,  improved lighting and carpet and improved accessibility to the library.
