Maintain Library Services: Yes on A

The Marin County Free Library is pleased to announce the preliminary results published by the Marin County Registrar of Voters on June 3, 2014 indicating that Measure A, the nine-year renewal of the library’s $49parcel tax,  passed with voter support of 77.7%. This funding will maintain library hours; provide children, teen, senior and disabled programs including public education support; maintain books and digital collections; enhance library facilities and ADA accessibility; and ensure local funding can't be taken by the State. The approved $49 parcel tax has an annual CPI adjustment and  includes independent citizen oversight and senior citizen exemptions.

The Marin County Free Library wishes to express its gratitude to the residents of Marin for their support of the library. We also would like to express our thank you to the Committee: Yes for Marin County Library and the volunteers, supporters and endorsers of the issue. If you have any questions about Measure A or for further information please contact Sara Jones, Director of County Library Services at (415) 473-6053 or sfjones@marincounty.org.
