Tips for finding music in the catalog
- Author--Search by author to find music by a particular artist, composer or performer, for example "Santana, Carlos", "Gershwin, George", or "Clapton, Eric." Last name goes first.
- Title--Search for the title of an album, song, concert, ballet or opera to find a recording, for example, "Carmen", "Rent", "Rhapsody in Blue" or "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan."
- Subject--Search by subject to find recordings of a particular type or genre of music, for example, "Popular Music--Mexico" or "Concert Films."
- Search tip: if your search yields many results that are not CDs or DVDs, limit results by format.
