The Civic Center Building Conservancy has formed an Ad Hoc committee to plan a series of events and outreach activities in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Marin Civic Center. The celebration commenced with a special BOS ceremony and resolution in October 2012 and will culminate with another special event -possibly the premiere of an original play- in October 2013.

Laurie Thompson, California Room Librarian, is the Library's representative on this committee and among other things will be contributing a monthly post to the Civic Center 50th Anniversary webpage highlighting a notable moment in the history of the Civic Center.
