You and your child can have  "block party" at the Novato Library!

When children play with blocks they are learning math, engineering, social skills and so much more!  Through play, your child is discovering shapes, learning how blocks can be balanced, observing how they fall and discovering what fits together.  Hard to believe, but these playful explorations are the foundation of later mathematical and scientific thinking - plus it's fun!   Learn more about the benefits of block play in this article from the National Association for the Education of Young Children or talk to your local librarian!

Check out these cool creations and come discover what you can build at the Novato Library!
