Is one of your New Year’s Resolutions to put your financial house in order? If so, the library can help with books and databases. For books, the subject heading Finance, Personal is a good place to start. It covers a wide variety of personal finance subjects while Budgets, Personal offers more targeted help. Investments and Portfolio Management offer comprehensive investment information while Securities, Stocks, Bonds, Real Estate Investment, and Mutual Funds are examples of more specific topics.
Many library branches also have Morningstar Mutual Funds , Value Line Investment Survey, and Value Line Investment Survey (Small and Mid-Cap Edition) in their reference collection. In addition to print editions of financial magazines and newspapers, many can be found in the library’s databases EBSCO Magazines and Newspapers and ProQuest Newspapers.
