Memorial Day Weekend is the Beginning of Barbecue Season

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial beginning of summer, and the kick-off for outdoor cooking.  To learn how to cook on your barbecue, or to find some new recipes, you’ll find lots of cookbooks in your local branch of the Marin County Free Library.  Type Barbecuing into the search box of the Encore Catalog to see what’s available, or use Barbecuing as a subject heading in the Classic Catalog.  If picnics are more your style, try the subject headings Picnics and Outdoor Cooking.  The libraries also have books on designing outdoor kitchens.  To find those, type Outdoor Kitchens into the search box of the Encore Catalog.
