In this thought-provoking and interactive workshop, participants will explore and discuss the shadow side of play. We’ll consider what play means for the child and how child’s play can vary greatly, from re-enacting comforting routines to constructing troubling or violent scenarios. As adults supporting children’s play, we’ll also consider what it means and how to support children when their play becomes confusing or alarming to adults. Sponsored by Marin County Free Library. The workshop will be held at the San Rafael Community Center, 618 B Street, San Rafael.
Space is limited. RSVP at http://evite.me/MrGrtXcZ8c
