This book was really good. Many of us don’t read a lot of realistic fiction and we all felt that this story seemed real. Although it was set in the early 1990’s many of the issues are still relevant today. Alienation, bullying, drugs, suicide, sexual confusion, depression, and repressed memories of child abuse are all touched on in this awesome book. We know it sounds like the author threw in everything but the kitchen sink but he manages to address all of these issues without making them seem trite. A wonderful cast of characters, the characters are consistent and develop as the story goes on. The portrayal of hanging out with friends still rings true, basically it “feels infinite”. This is definitely a book for mature readers.
