California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSSA) seeks teen artists, writers and performers!

For 28 years the school has held a four-week summer program for talented and motivated high school students in California and beyond. Instruction is offered in the fields of Animation, Film/Video, Creative Writing, Dance, Music, Theater, and the Visual Arts.

This represents a unique opportunity for 520 students to spend four weeks studying and working with professional artists, writers and performers of national stature.

Teens who successfully complete the program are eligible to receive three units of California State University course credit.

California students are charged a comprehensive fee of $1,550 to cover room, board and tuition. Nearly 40% of students who attend qualify for full or partial tuition assistance.

This year’s program runs from July 12- August 8, 2014.

The application deadline is February 28, 2014.

To learn more about CSSSA or to obtain application forms and instructions, visit, or call the Sacramento headquarters at (916) 229-5160. Be sure to check out the list of alumni!
