On our recent trip to Yellowstone Park, we were surprised to see one small black bear cub, then a second small cub and finally a LARGE mama bear!  She looked us over and then happily went about her business finding food for herself and her babies.  We were glad that the food was not going to be us but I think they much prefer berries and pine nuts.  Your public library is a great place to learn more about bears!:
