All Things Apple! May 2021 Schedule of Classes

Our Popular All Things Apple! Class is Online

Join Beryn Hammil on Zoom and learn how to get the most out of your Apple devices. You’ll discover how to set up each device to be more efficient and effective in all aspects of your life.

          • Pre-registration is required for each class.
          • Classes are held on Tuesdays at 2 pm and 4 pm
          • Invitations to register for class will be emailed each Thursday morning for the following week’s class.
          • New students, please email Shereen at to get started.
          • Each topic is relevant for the Apple iPhone, iPad, and Mac computer.
          • Classes start on time!  The “doors” open 15 minutes prior to starting.
          • When the class capacity of 100 participants is reached, the class will be live streamed on YouTube for registered students.
          • At the end of each class participants can stay for a Q&A session
          • Topics for these classes were put together based on requests from students, and while some of these topics have been taught recently, there’s always something new to learn.
          • All Things Apple - Distance Learning, a weekly newsletter, arrives on Mondays and includes links to relevant articles, a class registration reminder, personal essay, and a bit of humor.

      • Details about the newly released iOS 14.5 update
      • “Find My” function
      • Smaller apps; Clock, Voice Memo, and the Translate app

4:00 PM – Tips & Tricks.3

      • Whatever smaller apps mentioned above that weren’t covered in the first class will be included here.
      • Tips & Tricks is always a popular topic in which you can learn how to use your Apple products more efficiently. If you have a tip or trick to share, please email it to me no later than the day before the class so I can include i


2:00 PM – iCloud, iCloud Drive & The Files App

      • Set up and use these important functions on all your Apple devices
      • Use the Files app to access items that reside on your computer from any of your mobile Apple devices, and add items to your computer’s desktop from any of them.

4:00 PM – Security

      • Learn how to stay safe online when you apply the “Five Commandments” of online safety.
      • Anything that wasn’t covered in the iCloud class that needs more attention will be reviewed here.


2:00 PM - Reminders

      • Create a reminder
      • Have that reminder actually remind you with an alert
      • Color code reminders by topic
      • Share a reminder with someone else

4:00 PM - Messages

      • Create and send a message
      • Share photos, news items, notes, etc., with the Messages app
      • Respond to each message that you receive, including the “quick response” function
      • Save a photo that you receive to your Photos app
      • Personalize your texts with special effects.


2:00 PM until?

      • There will be only one class, starting at 2:00 PM (Pacific Time), and it will last for however long you want it to last.
      • Content of today’s class will be determined by whatever you want to learn and discuss.
      • You’ll learn how Beryn finds answers to some of your tougher questions and how she learns new things, not just on Apple’s website, but via other sites on the Internet as well.
