Our Popular All Things Apple! Class is Online

Join Beryn Hammil on Zoom and learn how to get the most out of your Apple devices. You’ll discover how to set up each device to be more efficient and effective in all aspects of your life.

        • Pre-registration is required for each class, even if they are on the same day.
        • Classes are held on Tuesdays at 2 pm and 4 pm.
        • Invitations to register for class will be emailed each Thursday morning for the following week’s class.
        • New students, please email Shereen at to get started.
        • Each topic is relevant for the Apple iPhone, iPad, and Mac computer.
        • Classes start on time!  The “doors” open 15 minutes prior to starting.
        • When the class capacity of 100 participants is reached, the class will be live streamed on YouTube for registered students.
        • At the end of each class, participants can stay for a Q&A session.
        • A review video of each class will be available on YouTube for students who attended that class.
        • Topics for these classes were put together based on requests from students, and while some of these topics have been taught recently, there’s always something new to learn.
        • All Things Apple - Distance Learning, a weekly newsletter, arrives on Mondays and includes links to relevant articles, a class registration reminder, personal essay, and a bit of humor.


2:00 PM – PART 1

      • Set up the software to work the way you want it to on each of your devices
      • Set up the privacy features to protect you from having your browsing history used by marketers
      • Create and organize your bookmarks
      • Use the tabs function

 4:00 PM – PART 2

      • Use the translation function
      • Share articles with other people
      • Save an article to the Notes app
      • Scan QR codes within the app to get detailed information


2:00 PM – PART 1

      • Create an email account
      • Create and use multiple email accounts (useful to separate your personal emails from Subscription emails)
      • Set up and organize mailboxes
      • Move emails between different accounts and save them into specific mailboxes

4:00 PM – PART 2

      • Format your emails
      • Add images to your emails
      • Create groups in your Contacts app for emailing holiday cards, notices, etc. and use “bcc” for those mailing lists
      • Create groups in your Notes app for emailing to a large list of people that you don’t want in your Contacts app


 2:00 PM – PART 1

      • Save and import photos into this app when you receive one in an email, message or from a website
      • Create albums to keep your photos well organized
      • Find and retrieve photos from within the app
      • Share your photos

 4:00 PM – PART 2

      • Edit photos in the Photos app on your computer and mobile devices


 2:00 PM until?

There will be only one class, starting at 2:00 PM (Pacific Time), and it will last for however long you want it to last. The contents of this class will be determined by whatever you want to learn and discuss, so have your questions ready!
