Curbside Service is now available at all branches for holds pickup and returns, during curbside hours.

We are happy to now be able to offer curbside service at all of our locations.
For non-MCFL libraries in Marin, please visit their websites for details of curbside services offered.

All branches are currently closed to the public, due to public health order.

Our curbside services are not affected by the new statewide restrictions.

pick up during curbside hours

When picking up your holds or dropping off returns, please follow all directions, stay at least 6 feet away from others and wear a face covering. Please do your part to keep yourself, other patrons and our staff safe.

Curbside Returns

Returns are accepted at all locations during curbside hours only. (Exception: South Novato Library bookdrop is open all hours for returns.)

Please make sure to stay at least 6 feet away from others and wear a face covering.

Note: Please be aware that returned items will be quarantined for at least 96 hours before being checked in, so items will remain on your library record while we safely process them. (Returned items might remain on your account for as long as a week.) You will not be charged late fees during this time.

Because of safety protocols, no return receipts will be available.

Due dates on many items have been extended. Please log in to your account to see updated due dates.

We also now offer automatic renewals of any items that can be renewed. If an item can be renewed (i.e. if there’s no-one waiting for it, and it hasn’t already been renewed the maximum number of times), then it will automatically be renewed. Please be sure to check your library reminder notices for any items coming due, as not all items can be renewed. (Automatic renewal does not apply to ebooks.)

No Curbside Donations

Branches cannot accept donations at this time.

The Friends of the Library book store, the Book Place, is accepting donations on a limited basis. Please see the Friends website for more details.
