The Stinson Beach Library is showing artwork from local courtroom and KGO TV graphic artist Jim Schwering, through June 2nd.
Jim Schwering was a graphic artist for KGO TV and a courtroom artist in the 70’s and 80’s. His work is very well known, as he covered some controversial trials – Hells Angels, Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, Charles Manson – at a time when cameras were not allowed in courtrooms. His art really set the stage for important issues of the times. The items on display include framed courtroom works, graphic pieces from KGO TV, books of sketches, and his press cards.
You can see Jim’s artwork during regular library hours.
There will be a closing reception on Saturday, June 2nd, from 2:00-4:00pm at the Stinson Beach Library.
