New Vehicle Coming to West Marin!
The Marin County Free Library is launching a new outreach vehicle designed to bring library services directly to rural and coastal communities throughout West Marin. This vehicle will help reduce barriers to access by meeting people where they are - at schools, community spaces, and neighborhood gathering places.
Driven by local library staff, the West Marin Vehicle will deliver books, materials, and technology, and offer storytimes and programs for all ages. It will expand opportunities for learning, connection, and joy across the region.
Built to be responsive, adaptable, and welcoming, this vehicle reflects the Library’s commitment to joyful learning, collective impact, and community power.
We Need Your Help Naming It
We believe the best name comes from the community it will serve. We invite you to help us choose a name that reflects the spirit of West Marin and celebrates the connection this vehicle will foster along the coast.
How to Submit a Name
- Submit your suggestion using this online form, or
- Visit one of the following West Marin branch to drop a name in the bucket - Bolinas, Inverness, Point Reyes, and Stinson Beach Libraries.
Submission Deadline
The last day to submit a name is January 30, 2026.
