You could also consider applying for temporary employment. The Library employs Temporary (Contingent) staff to work on a non-regular, non-permanent basis to cover shifts as needed. Working in a temporary capacity is a good opportunity to gain valuable experience in our libraries.

Marin County is just north across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Known for its beautiful landscape, the Marin community is highly educated and interested in preserving a high quality of life. Marin County residents enjoy low crime, good schools, culture and a wide range of recreational opportunities.

The Marin County Free Library provides a wide variety of programs and services to meet the needs of the communities it serves in Marin City, Corte Madera, Fairfax, Novato, West Marin (Stinson Beach, Bolinas, Inverness and Point Reyes) and unincorporated areas of Marin County. The Library enjoys tremendous community support from Friends of the Library groups, a Library Foundation, and an advisory Library Commission. In 2010 and again in 2014 citizens supported the Library by passing a $49/parcel tax with over 70% voting yes.
