The Marin County Free Library will be spending the week of October 15-21, 2023, celebrating its network of Friends of the Library groups as part of the 18th annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries Week.
We are grateful for the year-round dedication of the Friends of the Library to enriching our communities and library services, including supporting adult programs and technology access programs in our branches, initiatives like Summer Challenge for youth, Summer Learning Pre-K Backpacks & Books, STEAM, give-away books for children and youth, cultural heritage month celebrations, and the Inclusion/Racial Equity collection.
Made up of community members across the county, the Friends are a major factor in the library's progress, advocating for funding and volunteering their time to assist with fundraising efforts that include the Book Place, now celebrating their 20th anniversary!
Please visit the Friends website to learn more, and to find out how to become a member of the Friends.
