Library Celebrates Día and Primaveras

MCFL honors Latine/x culture with special events in April

San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Free Library (MCFL) has made special plans to celebrate Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros, or Children’s Day/Book Day and Primaveras, an annual community celebration that happens every April. All the events are free to the public.

Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros (Children's Day/Book Day), known simply as Día, is a yearly

celebration of children, families, and reading. Primaveras is an annual MCFL celebration that honors the diverse Latine/x diasporas and Spanish speaking communities. Primaveras represents the symbolism of life, flourishing, and above all the resilience of our communities. These events and activities are bilingual with an emphasis on Spanish language.

“We couldn’t be more excited about these series of programs in April,” said Lana Adlawan, Director of County Library Services. “Celebrating and welcoming Marin’s children, families, and our diverse communities in library locations and beyond is what we strive to do.”
