Fall at MCFL: A New Chapter in Year-Round Learning
As the seasons change, the library continues to be a place for joyful learning and connection. Through our Year-Round Learning Model, we’re extending the spirit of summer into autumn with programs that bring people together.
This fall, you’ll find us at community gatherings like Back-to-School Nights and the Marin Senior Fair, connecting families and older adults with resources to support learning at every stage of life. We’re also launching a new Voting & Election Resources page to help community members stay informed and engaged.
Families can explore culture and creativity through events honoring Latinx Heritage and Día de los Muertos, with storytimes, art activities, and displays that celebrate community traditions. Students can strengthen their reading skills through Homework Helpers and Reading Buddies, after-school literacy programs at several branches that support young readers and boost confidence.
Adults looking to improve their English will find welcoming opportunities in our ESL classes, including El Chit Chat Club and the Novato Conversation Club. These free conversation groups help participants practice speaking, listening, and pronunciation in a friendly environment.
Teens will continue to discover new ways to connect and lead, from volunteering at local branches to contributing to The Spire, our youth-created magazine. And this season also debuts limited-edition library cards, designed by local contest winners to celebrate “Community Joy.”
Whether you’re joining a program, attending a celebration, or cozying up with a good book, fall at the library is about connection, creativity, and community power.
