Library Express Services Starting the Week of April 19 at Select Locations

We’re excited to welcome you back to the library! We’ll be reopening our doors to several locations starting next week, with other branches planning to reopen soon.

In this next phase, we will be offering Library Express Services, with in-library browsing and self-checkout. Additional services such as computer appointments and printing access will also be available at some locations. Please note that in-library visits will be limited to 30 minutes for all services. These services are our next step in a phased approach to safely restore library offerings, access, and exploration.

To safeguard the health of our community and staff, visitors must follow our health and safety rules based on the Marin Recovers, opens a new window Guidelines for Reopening, including wearing a mask over your mouth and nose at all times if 2 years of age or older and maintaining at least 6 feet of distance from others at all times.

Starting the week of April 19, Library Express Services will be available at Fairfax, Novato, and the West Marin branches of Bolinas, Inverness, Point Reyes and Stinson Beach. Please see our website for details of hours and services available at each location.

Reopening plans for Civic Center, Corte Madera, Marin City and South Novato are well underway and will be announced soon. Please note that other Marin libraries are developing their own plans for reopening, and information is available on their websites.

Curbside Services will continue, though hours may vary. Please check our website for any changes to hours and services.

Marin City Library will be expanding their Curbside Service hours to 7 days a week, starting next week.

Corte Madera Library, which remains closed for emergency construction, will be offering another week of Holds Pickup for those with existing holds on Monday, April 19 through Thursday, April 22, from 11 am to 4 pm in their lower parking lot Popup Pickup Spot. Please drop by and pick up your holds. Masks and social distancing required.

The Bookmobile is resuming modified services at some stops. Though browsing will not be allowed inside the vehicle, holds pickup is available. Please see the Bookmobile schedule on our website.

We look forward to seeing you again at the library!
