The Fairfax Library reopens Thursday, May 25, 2023, with a new temporary schedule of hours to accommodate ongoing construction.
The Safety Improvements project at the Fairfax Library is proceeding on schedule and on budget. This project is an upgrade to life safety systems including smoke detection and fire suppression that will bring the facility up to code. The goal is to improve the systems to make the library safer for the public and staff. This first phase of the project has been completed on time for reopening May 25, just in time for the start of the Summer Adventure for kids and teens which will run from June through August.
There will be a temporary change in hours until construction is completed. The project is expected to be completed by July 31, 2023.

Monday - Thursday - 12 - 8 pm
Friday - 12 - 5 pm
Saturday - 10 am - 5 pm
Sunday - Closed
