It’s Loud But It’s Progress!

Fairfax Garden Project Update: July 20, 2022

DMR, the Construction company, started by erecting a fence around the project area for the safety of patrons and security of equipment. The stone picnic table will be relocated to the back of the library.

A wooden handicap ramp has been installed across the stairs to provide access until a new walkway is constructed.

Earth moving and grading are required to level the ground for the new patio. The old concrete walkway has been removed, and some of it required jackhammering. That day, staff handed out earplugs to patrons! The remainder of the project will be much quieter in comparison.

After removing several truckloads of demolished concrete, and relocating over 10 yards of dirt, we can now see the leveled patio area.
