Federal Tax Filing Dates for 2020 returns
Tax season will begin on Friday, February 12, 2021.
The filing deadline to submit 2020 tax returns has been extended to May 17, 2021, for most taxpayers. Please note, this relief does not apply to estimated tax payments that are due on April 15, 2021. These payments are still due on April 15. More information is available in the news release on the IRS website.

California State Personal Income Tax
You must file and pay by May 17, 2021.
Send your payment if you are not ready to file your return.

Tax booklets, both Federal and California, plus IRS forms 1099 and 1096, are available at all ten Marin County Free Libraries while supplies last.
For all other tax forms, you may call the Reference Line at 415-473-2272 to request free printed forms for pickup during curbside hours.
